The NFL recognized that most fans lose their passion for the Playoffs once the team they're rooting for is no longer in the running. To maintain excitement and viewership of the Playoffs, the NFL wanted to use the online space in an engaging and unique way. As such, Atmosphere created a personal interactive experience designed to give NFL fans a reason to participate in the Playoffs, even if their team is no longer in the running. The experience was intended to be a dramatic and humorous one-on-one interaction with the "Voice of the NFL." Users are asked a series of five questions which results in a team they can root for during the Playoffs.
Here's how it works...
The questions are seemingly innocuous and senseless, yet the answer to each question yields specific logic that applies to teams throughout the league. For example, "Leno or Letterman" is an example of east coast teams versus west coast teams. "Bling" or "No Bling" refers to teams that have won a Super Bowl versus those that haven't. (There are 21 unique questions and approximately 63 custom one-line responses based on how a user answers a question. This creates a new and entertaining experience each time.)
